The voice of Katia: Tara Strong

Adorable actress Tara Strong is the most successful voice actress in the industry today! With roles on Fairly Odd Parents, Powerpuff Girls, Teen Titans and Final Fantasy (just to name a few), there's a good chance you have heard her on one of your favorite shows or video games!
Tara brought to life the beloved teenage genie Katia in the 2006 DVD, "Bratz: Genie Magic" and the Forever Diamondz video game. Mrs. Strong recently took some time out to talk to Lady Yuna about her exciting career and Bratz! It's a Bratz Fanz exclusive you won't see anywhere else!

Lady Yuna:  How did you get the role of Katia on Bratz Genie Magic?

Tara: I believe I had a regular audition, although casting and director knew me well from the original Bratz auditions and JAKERS

Lady Yuna:  Was Katia a fun character to play?

Tara: Very, I love her history. I grew up watching "The Thief of Baghdad" and I have always had an affinity for genie magic stories.

Lady Yuna: Was it difficult to bring a complex girl like Katia to life? She was so powerful and yet wanted a normal life.

Tara: My job is rarely difficult. Quite fun and natural for me.

Lady Yuna: How many hours/days did it take to complete your part in the Bratz Genie Magic film?

Tara: If I recall, 2 sessions that lasted 3 hours.

Lady Yuna: If you were ever approached on reprising your role as Katia, would you consider it?

Tara: Definitely.

Lady Yuna: Do you have any friends or family members who enjoy the Bratz dolls?

Tara: Not sure ... I hope so!

The many faces of Rikku! Tara played everyone's favorite Al

Bhed in Final Fantasy X, X-2 and Kingdom Hearts 2.

Lady Yuna: You've provided the voice for some of the most powerful women in animation and video games. Is it gratifying playing characters that girls can look up to?

Tara: Of course, and I still get excited when I book a new one.

Lady Yuna: You also portray male characters as well. How exactly do you change your voice to sound like a boy? Is it difficult?

Tara: Too difficult to explain! If you can manipulate your voice, your versatility will get you far in this business.

Timmy Turner from 'Fairy Odd Parents'.

Lady Yuna: Are there any upcoming projects you can tell us about?

Tara: The new TRANSFORMERS series, more fun on BEN 10 and a new show on CN, called CHOWDER, that I really love.

Lady Yuna: You are without a doubt, the most popular voice actress in the industry today. How does it feel to have such an enormous fan following?

Tara: I love my fans ... truly.

Lady Yuna: Thank you Tara for taking the time to speak with me and giving readers of Bratz Fanz an inside look at your life! I truly love and admire your work!

Tara: Thank you!
